I have a Mary Rickard, b. Oct. 4, 1709 as my husband's 6th Great grandmother. When I click on her father John Rickard, b. Feb. 3, 1684 geni shows that relationship as my husband's 8th great uncle's wife 1st cousin. Something is not right? So then my husband's connection that goes back to Stephen Hopkins does not come out right.. He is my husband's 11th great-grandfather.(Mary Rickard who married Joseph Phinney Jr,, then John Rickard b. Feb. 1684, then John Rickard Jr. and Mary Cooke, then Jacob Cooke and Damaris Hopkins, then Stephen Hopkins.) But geni has Stephen as husband's 6th great aunt's husband's fourth great grandfather. Not sure what to do to fix it.
