you know, with all this discussion about the du Plessis family and their roots - I know we talked about the Plessis Mornay connection and I seem to remember we had decided the SA branch was not in fact related to the de Mornay family...or am I having an Alzheimers moment? With that in mind, there are numerous du Plessis men in SA who bear the first name Morne or Mornay. Morne du Plessis the rugby player is in his 60's already which means that 65 years ago that family already knew of a Mornay connection - or do you think its just a co-incidence? Maybe there is a connection that we just havent managed to put our fingers on yet. Just google the name Mornay du P and there are quite a few with this name. No smoke without a fire? I know the 1950's wasnt exactly the dark ages, but it was before the days of the internet & online research. Wish I had the money to go on a pilgrimage to Poitiers...
