looking for a john Muncrief who is supposed to be Red Skelton's Great Grandfather

I am helping a friend with his family tree and Red Skelton's Great Grandfather John Muncrief is Mickey G. Brown's Great Great Grandfather and so far i have not found anything on john muncrief. this is what i have so far

Mickey Brown b july 8 1946
Tharon Brown (Muncrief) b 1924-1992 married Willie Brown 2-2-1941
Robert Jefferson Muncrief b 1897-1962
