Edward Isaac Dicks participated in the boer as a Natal Carbineer. He was entitled to the Q.S.A with Defence of Ladysmith Clasp
He was besieged in Ladysmith, later moved to Natal Composite Regiment. He participated in the Natal 1906 Rebellion earning the MSM.
