moonlightdrive47660@yahoo.com Pat Miller here. My grandma's name was Susan Taylor, her sister was Martha Anderson. Aunt Mattie had a brother from Kentucky, I think. David Deweese. I saw Aunt Mattie, the day before she died. I only heard a few stories. Enough to be proud of being a Deweese and to look in to our history. Help me, or let me help you find more about our family. Thanks, Pat

kconnair@cox.net Karen Connair here. Patrick, I just happened to see your post just doing searching on the family name Deweese. My great-grandmother was Nora Jane Deweese, born about 1874 in Indiana, and lived in and married William Tislow in Petersburg, IN in 1897. She died in the 1960s. Her daughter, Alma Tislow, was my grandmother. I have been tracing the Deweese family. I believe her father, William R. Deweese was born in Ballard, Kentucky about 1843. Might be related to your branch? There are hundreds of Deweese's throughout the country! Once on the Internet (I have lost the link now, need to search for it again) someone did an entire family tree tracing the Deweese family back to the ONE man who came to the US in the 1660s to New York from Holland! I tried to print it out, it was many, many pages, with hundreds of people listed. My great-grandmother was listed on it although with not much info on her. We are probably related way back, probably from colonial times but could be a different branch. Maybe we can find more facts on the family together.
