The time of born and death is easy. Either the year only or added with AD.
But
Born or time of death before the year zero, ends in misunderstanding e.g. I have noticed several versions as;
- (minus) 1300 BC
- (minus) 1300 BCE
- 1300 B.C. that ends to British Columbia etc.
It might be very useful to leave the (minus), because it ends to a duplicate,
The best - in my opinion - is to use BCE
---- quote
Common Era (also Current Era or Christian Era), abbreviated as CE. is an alternative naming of the traditional - calender era, Anno Domini (AD). BCE is the addreviation for - Before the Common/Current/Christian Era (an alternative to Before Christ; BC.
---- end of quote
My opinion; to use standard is to forget - the minus and use BCE - it ends to confusion; as like as well GENI has to same standard i.e. any time one use request, to outcome is always familiar. Thanks to GENI-personnel.
