I challenge every descendant of Patrick Delahunt (1831-1908, among our ancestors from Ireland), whose photograph we've very recently become aware of, to obtain a bowler / derby like Patrick wore for his My Family on the Front Porch photographic portrait, c.1890, Milwaukee, WI," the one we've very recently become aware of. Here's the contest challenge: have your photo taken when you in some way (in a bowler / derby!) look comparable to that of our forebear, who somewhat resembles Sigmund Freud [we had a hunch DelaHunts, like Manierres, have Jewish ancestors].
I bought a mass-produced flocked molded plastic version of the hat for six dollars yesterday. I've uploaded a photo of my first attempt, albeit with neither beard nor suit with vest.
I'm considering Photoshopping Patrick's beard onto my face, or my face into Patrick's hair and clothing.
