Issues I am having: Photo Insets and defaulting to Public profile

I should say select profiles went public only, with no ability to revert to private.
I believe Eldon had an issue with some of this last week.

And ability to choose alternate photos, within a profile, is impossible.

@conrad lannon profile, is a recent example of the photograph problem.

V, we are fixing the issue with profile photos and it will probably go out tomorrow.

Were the profiles that you added that became public within your close family?

No, the profiles are not close family to me.
I marked the profiles living, even though they are deceased, as a temporary fix.
The birth dates on theses folks are close enough to what I call "3 layer rule" to warrant them marked private.

Using the @ symbol, I repeatedly typed the profile names to attach the profiles in question, this did not work. The search more was pressed, but the names would not come up for selection.

Using the @ symbol does only work for profiles in a list preloaded with the page, - recent visited profiles and some followed and collaborators. It's better to use the profile-ID, or at least visit the actual profile before entering the page where you want to tag it.

@last april i was new on geni and i merged a family because the dot showed green it was a bad merge and i took me a long time to clean up i will not merge a family ever again i do not need the headache judy rice

V, if the profiles are outside of your max family, you cannot make them private. Your max family is your 3rd great grandparents and closer (out to 4th cousin).
