My Rogers ancestors came to Virginia in the 1620s. We are tracing the lineage now. I know I am a direct descendent of Rotham Rogers who fought in Virginia during the Revolutionary War and was given a tract of land in Charleston, WV, as payment for his service. I don't know if these ancestors are connected to the Mayflower Rogers family but both came from England at about the same time. Do you know anything about this?

Linda - I would use extreme caution and skepticism about drawing connections between Rogers families. It is a *very* common name and the time distance between the Mayflower (1620) & the American revolution (1776) substantial.

Just keep going discovering your tree. The connections will be clear enough one day.
