Luyanda,
More information will give you a better chance of receiving help here on Geni.

You have told us that your name is Luyanda Gwebu and your father's name is Chorus Gwebu but that his father's family name was Ribbing.

What was your grandmother's name? Do you know where she worked, what she did? Do you know what business your grandfather Ribbing was in?
What year was your father born? How old was your grandmother then? Do you have any indication how old Ribbing was? Was he a young man starting out in life or an old man with a big family already? You say Ribbing moved back to his hometown and divorced his wife, do you know where his home town was?

Good luck in your search.

I would focus on the petrol garage in Ermelo in the 1950s look for taxes paid or land sales? Stuff like that.
If your grandfather Ribbing left the country then there may be a departure record with the customs department? That would at least tell you his first name and maybe a country to look for him in.
