Sarah Jane Alexander - Alexanders of North Carolina/Virginia

I thought I'd make a public discussion post in hopes of finding others interested in working with me on untangling this family. :)

There was a series of bad merges on the Alexanders made that resulted in fathers becoming sons, people becoming blood parents of their sons- and daughters-in-law, unknown children getting attached, etc. I have been working from about Sarah Jane Best's generation and up and have made some progress, but there's a lot of work that needs to be done, especially with figuring out which children actually belong (and where).

Would anyone like to join me in a) researching this family and b) making the necessary corrections? The profiles to work around are Anthony Alexander, III, Anthony Alexander, Jr., and Anthony Alexander, each of which I've temporarily MPed to make life easier.

Anthony Alexander, Jr. in particular seems to have a boatload of children who may or may not be his. I disconnected some that clearly /didn't/ belong him based on records I found, but I'm having trouble coming up with a definitive list of who /did/ belong to him. Records from the time are scarce, and most of the user-submitted trees on Ancestry aren't sourced and disagree with each other anyway.
