If I may say, congratulations to all involved in getting this chronology of governors of the Dutch East Indies sorted out!
We have a handful of governors with extremely poor family stories. But, such is the nature of our ambitions. Some people, hundreds of years ago, were often totally unknown, undocumented people that had just an extraordinary ambition (for better or for worse, as the story of colonial times will tell us). So be it. I think that, in the process of searching for these governors, we made tons of new connections between families and gave more breadth to the big tree, given that we've been reaching out every more into the fascinating migration stories of the Low Countries - including the Huguenot diaspora!
