Is there a way to establish relationships through the maternal side of your tree?

I find it "fascinating" to see all of the relationships of one ancestor through my Mom's side, then switch to my Dad's side, then switch to my ex-husband's side. Who can ever believe that we're not all related? HO HO HO

Bjørn: to show only males or women could be useful if you have taken a DNA test. This option could then show all the paternal descendants of one ancestor, or all the maternal descendants.
