Mary or Mercy Beebe (Prentice) - Wrong Mother shown

I noted that William and Mary Mercy Prentice married in the year 1685 in New London, Conn. and passed away in New London, Conn. in the year 1689, thus she could not be the mother of William (DOB 1-15-1704). William Sr. married Ruth Rogers n the year 1693 and passed away 12-30-1750 and is the mother of William (DOB 1-15-1704). I believe the confusion was that Mary Mercy Prentice gave birth to a son named Samuel WILLIAM Beebe in the year 1687.
