I am not an expert, but where does Linneus fit in? You know the famous scholar who named many plants.

is Carl Linneaus 1707-1778 on geni already? As a biologist that would be interesting, i think.

According to Wikipedia he visited Lund University - Uppsala University and in the Netherlands: University of Harderwijk. Never known that City once has a university, that makes me curious.

Carl Niclas Hellenius / von Hellens (1745 - 1820) from Finland (who is in geni.com) also a botanist completed a second dissertation in medicine under the supervision of Carl von Linne in Uppsala on 20.11.1776.

Put or link him on the project -if the team of that project makes it possible-

* http://www.geni.com/projects/Botanists-and-Plant-Collectors/4390

or

* http://www.geni.com/projects/Biologistes/8038

So we won't loose him out of sight, please.

Private User : Aart Staartjes kan nu een alumni-vereniging op gaan richten, help je hem daarbij?

To -jMu- : The best way for you to link Carl Niclas von Hellens to the project "Botanists and Plant Collectors" is for you to become member of this project. Then you can add who you want of botanists to this project. It lacks especially Linneus "the botanist himself".

Now it seems it is only English people added to this project. Maybe we all want a change of it ?
