Mrs. Herbert A. Underwood of Austin, Texas believes that "our William" is from North Carolina. This family still follows this same line, but though a different branch. Names common to our line, such as "Littleberry" occur, which indicates a strong possibility that this is the correct line. Unfortunately, no more information was ever offered by Mrs. Underwood. The suggestion is to look for more Littleberrys and such along the North Carolina Mathews lines.
