Where can I go to find out how Merges work? Are merges only for Public profiles? Are Public profiles only people who died a long time ago?

all profiles can be merged, but private profiles you need to add the other user to your family group before you can merge them. Public profiles are all profiles that are older then 5 generations and have a green outline
