Famous Finnish artist and painter Grigori Auer was born in Impilahti parish FINLAND. He lived in a village called Pitkäranta. Grigori Auer became famous for his paintings descripting lake Ladoga which is so dear to all Karelian people who were forced to move to main Finland due to the Second World War. His first name is Russian. It doesn*t make him Russian. He was born 1882 in autonomous Finland which was a part of Russian Imeperium. This fact doesn-t make him Russian. Grigori Auer died in finland 1967.
