We apologize for the inconvenience. We're currently making some slight adjustments to the way this feature works, but it should be back up shortly.
In the meantime, you can access Ancestry.com record matches by using the following link: http://search.ancestry.com/search/

Both should be restored within the next couple of days. Until then, Find-A-Grave search can be accessed through the following link:

Yes, but Find-A-Grave does not provide for a full set of genealogical information ... it is for information on burial locations with provisions for adding known linkages between them. That's pretty much it. If there is no gravesite, then you won't have any "place" to put information about a person. It *is* great as a "source", especially if there are photos of the stones to validate the dates & names.
We're still working with our record providers and estimate that this feature will be updated by Monday (4/9).
In the meantime, you can access each site's record search by visiting those sites directly at:

It is really annoying that Geni does not include a record match to familysearch.org which does not cost anything and are more worldwide than the current, and have a well defined API.
For me the current "Record Matches" are just useless since it just leads to a site the require that you pay to see if the matches are relevant for you.
Speaking of FindAGrave ... there seem to be some problems with the behind-the-scenes matching -- This Geni profile (Temperance Farrar) is not showing any FindAGrave record matches. However, if I search FindAGrave directly with "Temperance Farrar", one match is returned, and if I search "Temperance Hayes" (with maiden name search checked) I get 4 matches -- including the 1 found with "Temperance Farrar".
Private User -- can you have this checked?
Just checked...the manager does not believe the age, which indicates a birth year 1777, is correct...she put that into notation into 'about me. No actual headstone was shown, from which a resolution might be made,.The age indicated appears to be that of the Find a Grave photographer/worker.
Perhaps you might contact the manager about your question.
Fay Elizabeth Dyer ... there is a discussion specific to Temperance Farrar (discussion here: http://www.geni.com/discussions/107536 ) in which there is more current info about Temperance with some additional info about birth date and marriage.
It now seems likely that the birth date on FindAGrave is incorrect, and that seems to be why there is no "record match" showing up. I've passed on the updated info to the owner of that FindAGrave entry.
Oh, and I added the "About Me" description ... there was none before the afore-mentioned discussion was started.
So, as to FindAGrave record matching -- Geni passes birth & death dates along with first & last name. Jjust because there isn't a match shown doesn't mean there might not actually be a corresponding record --- if any one of those items is mis-matched, there may be nothing returned.
Perhaps the FindAGrave match could take advantage of the "circa" and request looser match on the dates. (May require support from the FindAGrave API that doesn't exist at the moment, perhaps...)
