I am hoping to fill in a gap in the geneology loophole on my mother's side of the family. This is what I was told by my mom: Her mother (Ruby Roosevelt Adams born in 1900) was 35 years old when she answered a Mail Order Bride advertisement in the St Louis Dispatch Newspaper. Ruby's dad (Henry Issac Adams) took her to Oklahoma to meet Joe Dehn (who was wanting a Mail Order Bride) and his parents. While they were in Oklahoma, Ruby and Joe Dehn got married. Afterwards, they moved to Galatia, IL and were living at a hotel where Bobbie Joe Dehn was born. His dad came to help work on the Adam's Family Farm. About 4 years later Joe Dehn took off and left Ruby and Bobbie Joe Dehn. Ruby has since then died and Bobbie Joe Dehn became Barbara Jo (Dehn) Vinyard (age now 74) by marring Lewis T. Vinyard (deceased). She has been searching for her dad ever since.
