Hi! This is Brenda (Hermanson) Stowe from Minnesota, USA. My grandmother, Elise Hansen (Hermanson) was Hans Michael Furfjord's 3rd daughter with his 1st wife Elise (senior), before he married Else, Sigurd's mother. I was just searching the internet to see if there was any more information on him, and I spotted this on Sigurd, her brother.
Sigurd was such a dear soul--kind and gentle. He spoke the same accent my father Gunvald had!

PS: Much of the history I put on Ancestry.com, but have holes. Still trying to figure out who Elise's mother's family was...and if any are still around Hadsel/Sortland area. My daughter will be doing a heritage project starting in summer, so am hoping to find out more family tree information.
