I guess i'm brain dead today and I know I'm new at this, but could someone please explain to me how Mark Anthony can be my 38th great grandfather when his lover, wife, whatever, Cleopatra is my 50th great grandmother. Are there generations missing???

Different paths calculated in the algorithm - and yes, some links missing or speculative, or a wide range of dating possibilities. I can't imagine accuracy going back that far anyway, can you?

thanks for the input so i just need to try and verify dates etc then i guess.

Yes, please! Everyone needs to help document and source our common historical ancestors to make the tree as accurate as possible. It works best to get a "zone of expertise" - maybe collaborating through projects.
