Born in Leeds Uk 1906 . His Parents came to New Zealand and for a while lived at Blockhouse Bay Auckland . B A Auckland BD Melbourne University attended Knox College Dunedin . Knew Hebrew and wrote Thesis on Economic Conditions of Fiji for an MA but was not granted MA due to his inability to pass a prerequisite (today named Econometrics) . Was proud to have made and have hung the Main Entrance door to Auckland University while a carpenter for Fletchers prior to his religious studies .
