Hello family,
I have noticed this evening that on Jakov Lucic's profile his place of birth/death/etc has been changed very recently from Croatia to Hrvatska.
That triggered my memory of this comment in the [http://www.geni.com/projects/Hrvatski-portal-pitanja-i-odgovori-Cro... Q&A section]:
"•Places - Should refer to current Croatian borders, not what it used to be (no Yugoslavia, Austria, Austro-Hungary, Italy and so on). Historical accuracy in terms of what the country used to be called is a sensitive issue in Croatia, as the country was ruled by numerous rulers from other parts of the world."
To me that would seem a very straight forward statement, however it occurred to me to check on the same page in the Croatian section, where it says:
" •Nazivi mjesta - Nazivi mjesta trebaju odgovarati trenutnom stanju hrvatskih granica, ne ono sto je nekad bilo (npr. ne Jugoslavija, Austrija, Austro-Mađarska, Italija i tako dalje). "
Even without being able to read it i can make out that this sentence is telling people to use Hrvatska.
So there is a bit of a disconnect going on.
I'm not suggesting changing all profiles to one or the other but perhaps the Q&A should be reworded slightly.
