Josiah Bailey(s/0 Nathaniel) was born in 1778. He married Charlotte THOMPSON. I have the distinct and lucky privilege of finding Josiah s and Charlotte's headstones in the middle of the woods on his plot of land in Topsfield, Maine on Bailey Hill. Found his cellar hole and rock lined water well as well. I moved their headstones down to the Topsfield cemetery about 3 years ago so the loggers wouldn't desecrate them. found MUCH MUCH more including John Baileys(and family's) headstones in the woods along with a Bailey cemetery up on Bailey Hill. I bought the land the Bailey family resided on and what a feeling of pleasure it is. Josiah fought in the War of 1812, Capt. "Kuhns" company but have not gotten the paperwork yet. If anyone does, would they kindly let me know, I would love to have a copy of the request his wife sent in after his death, for money. Also have a ghost story about a little girls headstone on the Hill , a daughter of John E. Bailey.
