How can we find out if we are related

You have to be connected to the big tree. If you're in the big tree, you'll see "How are you related?" on the top of your profile page.

Looks like you're not connected to the big tree so you won't be able to check on your relationship path. You need to merge into the big tree in order to check your relationship path.

Heere is an example. I have a path to Justin Timberlake. Yes, you do need to connect to the Geni Big Tree before you can look for a paths to special people. You've only added a few profiles :-). you've got some work to do ;-))
