I think we should use the native languages to get people enthousiastic in their OWN country and neigbourhoud to add their NATIONAL profiles in geni. And ofcourse my suggestion is just a short example of using a translating machine, so please don't be angry if I did not use the proper native words. But some general taxonomy would give more help in linking the different initiatives together and to exchange ideas and knowledge, don't you think?
I'm sure in the Netherlands & abroad also my collaborators: Private User ‧ George J. Homs ‧ Bodil K-Hansen ‧ Lauri Kreen ‧ [[ ]] ‧ Karl Halvor Wollan - ‧ Joy Wade - Australia ‧ Private User - South Africa - Private User ‧ Private User
‧ Gerardus Wilhelmus den Reijer ‧ Private User ‧ Johannes Gerhard Hospel ‧ Wijtze William Sieswerda ‧ Private ‧
[I just picked up some names to inform them through this message] - will like this project too. good luck, jMu - jeannette.
Jeannette, funny, there's even a wikipedia page that lists people on Dutch stamps (many of them in the Dutch golden age)... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_on_stamps_of_the_Nether...
As allways, the PROOF is in the PUDDING, for while making the project:
http://www.geni.com/projects/Postzegel-%E2%80%A7-portretten-%E2%80%... I was wondering whether we have to mention Dutch PROFILES or DUTCH STAMPS there? Maybe both, but if a Dutch celebrity is also on stamps of f.i. the Bahama's or the Lofoten, where do we put them and in what language?
Luckily we can ask the Geni-staff to change project-names when they are too wrong to use co-operatively together....
Thanks Martin Severin Eriksen, I putted your suggestion in a document-link, so it won't get lost in a thread. -jMu-
