children of Thomas Davis, born 1717, Billerica, son of Deacon Joseph Davis

I believe my ggg grandfather, Kitteridge Davis, to be a son of Thomas Davis, who was the youngest of of Deacon Joseph Davis and Rebecca Patten. Kitteridge stated his father was Thomas Davis of Mansfield, and in "The History of Billerica" it is noted that Thomas was "dismissed to the Church in Mansfield, Ct". I've been unable to find any birth record, or even any record of this Thomas' children's birth. And all i know about his wife was that she was likely named "Mary". Any suggestions appareciated!

I believe that his wife was Sarah Kittridge , daughter of James Kittridge of Billerica and Sarah Fowle. Sarah's brother James is my ancestor.

Thanks, Linda Chickering! Yes, Thomas Davis' first wife was Sarah Kittredge. We ( a group of Thomas' descendants, now believe that Sarah Kittredge died either in childbirth, or shortly thereafter, as Thomas named his son Kitteridge. This son believed his mother's name to be Mary, and think Thomas married quickly after the birth of Kitteridge, a Mary (perhaps a Mary Smith of Hebron, CT).
