Hello Danny Franklin Drollinger, maybe it's an idea to make a subproject of the Pioneers of 1852 just for the Thomas C.D. Howell Company.

Just by curiosity, for I do know little about Mormones, i searched the database and saw this information:

Arrival: 2, 11-12, 27 September 1852

Company Information:

293 individuals plus 10 families and about 65 wagons were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Kanesville, Iowa (present day Council Bluffs).

So you can make a project with all the travelers in geni too and then maybe you get in touch with other descendants of people who made this journey.

Tagging Randy Stebbing

Danny, Randy is a curator who does a lot of work with the Mormon pioneers. He has projects for each of the years that the pioneers crossed the plains to Utah. I'm sure he can help answer your questions.

Hi Jennifer, Randy was the person who helped me find my pioneer 2nd great grandfather in July, through his work I found his mother and brother, and today Eldon Clark helped me improve their profiles. Thank you for reminding me though.

One question: could Simeon Sr. have travelled west twice? The reference shows him in 1853, while he is listed on the roster of Thomas CW Howell in 1852, also with mother and brother.
I'm not as much concerned about accuracy, what's done is done, just curious.

He most certainly could have traveled west twice. Those employed as freighters, returning missionaries, family visits, and those called by church leaders to assist later immigrants were all motivations for multiple trips.
