I've been asked about Swedish links.
It would be so much easier if all our Ancestors spoke English.
But since the search for your ancestors has sent you here,
you must know that this line goes from New Sweden to Sweden,
Finland or Germany and then to who knows where.
In order to jump from the New World back to the Old, we must
begin looking at source information that is in their Native tongue
and at News Articles that are in the original language.
Hopefully, there are people in the Old World that will find your
ancestor and connect the two trees. Without their help. the line
may stop at New Sweden.
So, you never learned to speak Swedish. Luckly, Google Translate
at http://translate.google.com/# can help. Just copy that text and paste
it in the box and 99% of it will become readible in English for you. Also
many pages on the WWW have "Translate this page".
There is a proplem with some pages. Some pages are really a
picture and therefore you can not copy the text. If you are lucky
and have a scanner, you can print the picture and then run it thru
your scanner as a document and the OCR software that comes with
most scanners can "read " the text and change it into a Word (or
other) Document that then the text can be copied and pasted into
Google Translate.
As a note, Google translate is better at translating some languages,
so sometimes you may end up with "junk" when translated. In these
cases, you will need a "Native Speaker to help.
