my mother scherry lee booth born 04-10-1954 told me about her father robert leslie booths father robert had the last name spelled boothe.My mothers dads dads wife had the letter e dropped because of some reason to avoid drawing attention to the booth name.My mothers mother had the name edda jo meyers which was changed to booth.my mothers father is 87 years old born in 1924 and his father in the 1900's and lived until 1960.The third dad of my mothers fathers dad's dad was born after 1865 sometime and they were all from the south at the time of lincoln soIm told from my mother scherry that the letter e dropped was to keep attention of the boothe name which is english.My mother believes most likely were on the edwin thomas booth side or by junius jr side.
