Closed profiles and disappeared managers?

I have tried to find a person among my ancestors with the birth surname Lock. One problem with searching on a name, any name, on Geni migth be like in this case:

One or maybe more than one manager don't answer on messades, don't collaborate and don't change anything at all and seems to love to keep the profiles closed as it is top secrets with people who lived until 50 years ago. I have been in contact with two more experienced Geni-users and curators trying to have a change. I know both of themm have made the same as I and a little bit more. But the profiles are closed ande the managers are gone, there are duplicates and triplicates and not a sign of merging.

The managers in question is said to have several Geni-accounts and has not answered one single merge-message since June.

What is made by Geni to stop this kind of contributions to Geni?

The profile you linked is a public profile. Can you link the profiles that are closed that you are trying to merge with that one.

Charles, take a view tree on that profile and you will see that they all have a blue (+) telling that they are in a requested merge - with private profile.

The manager of those have recently upgraded to Pro so it is an active account, so it is just for Agneta to send him a message and explain the situation and ask if it is OK to send him a family group request to be able to merge these profiles, or ask him to merge them himself.s

And it is lot's of yellow warning signs in many of the trees.

Wow is there an uppgrade (not 4-5?) ! That's good. But do I need to send new messages to every one and each of the 4-5 managers/account, with the almost the same name and aske for merges again?

Nope, my suggestion of sending a message is to explain why you want access and to agree on how to continue.

As far as I can see the only thing you need to do is to contact Private User and kindly ask for family group access to the private profiles in that area you want to merge and clean up. This access can be temporary until the area is cleaned up, but you have to agree on which profiles should continue to be private since many of them is recent in time and should probably be private even if the profile you link to is public.

You find an option to both send him a message and invite to family group on his profile and since I tagged him in this message he will be notified about this discussion.
