Okay, so I know that my line of Martins came from the Martis in Switzerland. So far, I have only been able to find 2 Martis; both named Benedict. It seems as if I am finding people from all over in my tree, but I can't even go several generations higher in the tree belonging to my father's father's and so on. So this is why I am creating this discussion. If anyone is able to help me better understand why the Martis added an "n" to the last name and to even continue along the path of the Martis, it would be greatly appreciated!! Every little bit counts. Thanks again in advance, everybody!!
