the above is how it is written at the back of Governor Phillips book as being a Subscriber to the book he published on his return to England. The book was publ;ished very quickly after his landing; it is believed by many that the book was ghosted for him from his official reports, the reports I find more interesting than the book except for the list of Subscribers, which contains no Royal member of the family; you could be forgiven thinking that the King would be interested in a book written by his Governor about his latest colony. The Uk Government were not interested in Australia until the finding of Gold, the Public were always more interested. I am interested in Mr. Bickingham's religion if any one knows.
