Thanks to Private User who just edited his profile, I learned the sad news that Steve Jobs of Apple is no longer with us. May he rest in peace. A very interesting background Steve Jobs.

Sorry, Hatte. :(

For those who have not read it yet, I have uploaded his famous 2005 Stanford commencement speech to his Media: Documents area. I strongly encourage you to read it. It will always be one of the most poignant, moving essays I've ever read. I also uploaded screengrabs of the Apple.com tributes.

May his family have peace. I know that Steve had it, because he said this in that 2005 speech:

"No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. ...

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Steve Job's immortal legacy of courage, genius and boundless creativity lit up our world with infiinite beauty, elegance, supreme excellence, grace and a touch of the divine. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life as an enduring blessing and example to all.

An Inspirational Steve Jobs Quote:

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.

* Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking.
* Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice.
* And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
