William Powell, ancient Planter

This is a fine article on William Powell. However, the Court Minutes of 1624 state that he was " in no way kin" to Nathaniel Powell. At Nathaniel's death William took control of his property, but Nathaniel's brother, Thomas, in England went to court to get his brother's land and he won. William was not brother of Nathaniel or Thomas.
The Order of Descendants of Ancient Planters has proof of only one son, George, of William Powell. If there is proof of other issue, please contact me. Thank you.

thx for pointing that out. so were are now clear on the issue. i am aware of the conflict in wheather William and Nathaniel were related or not. i do know of the court case. the article was from source who seemed to think differently. there are a few family tree's here on geni with william powell and i tried to have them cleaned up or merged to add him to the planter list
