Malka, I envision an umbrella project with all these fabulous sub projects. Of course there will be fashion and the people behind fashion. Erica has been thinking about early fur trade and how that shaped finance in New York. So many ideas, I get dizzy!

I have the first haute couture artist nearly done - go to “The father of Haute Couture” Charles Frederick Worth. I am putting pictures of important gowns on his media page. I just need to finish the overview and find his parents.

Yes, I remember those models. What gave birth to this project was a conversation about the first "super model." Turns out it was the wife of Charles Worth, the first true couturier.

Avedon certainly has a place. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I'm hoping to find something on the creator of Godey's Ladies Book. And Vogue!

At any rate, whenever I need to take a break from cleaning up Colonial Virginia, this is where I'll be.
